Spotted this cute cupcake at 1800 Flowers and am thinking about sending it to one of my friend’s daughters for her 1st birthday. I can’t be at the party and want to give her a fun present – a toy and book – in person, but it would be nice if I could have something arrive on the day-of. And who doesn’t love cupcakes? And tiny flags. And stripes!
I just saw this post and giveaway on Bakerella, and WOW did I fall in love!
So off I went to Bake it Pretty. Though I wanted to buy something for myself, I ended up ordering a fun birthday gift for my new sister in law.
Her bithday was in March (shame on me), but until now I hadn’t found anything that I felt was the perfect gift for her. And I do love to give the perfect gift. When I saw the Cupcakes 101 kit I was smitten, and I knew she would be too. It combines the two things she loves most in the world (aside from brother): baking & all-things-vintage. Though I realize the toppers aren’t old in reality, they give off that old-fashioned, nostalgic feel that she adores.
